Grupo SOME has over 21,000 m2 of facilities that contain the different production processes and services, distributed among the following centers:
SOME, in the municipality of Sant Quirze de Besora (Barcelona/Spain), with 14,000 m2, where the main offices and production structures of the Industrial Division and a large part of the Automotive Division are located.
The machinery park in SOME SQB includes more than 40 presses for progressive stamping and deep drawing, welding and riveting equipment, automated centers for second operations, assembly of components....Nearly 200 highly qualified professionals and technicians work at this headquarters.
MATRIX, located in Ripoll (Girona/Spain), with more than 4,600 m2, dedicated to the design and manufacture of plastic injection molds and stamping dies. MATRIX, with its advanced technology and capacities, develops very high quality tools, particularly for the progressive stamping lines in the Automotive division. Over 70 thoroughly trained and qualified technicians are part of MATRIX‘s personnel.
SOME KSW (2.500 m2), is a manufacturing plant in Poland and was built on a ground of 30,000 m2, ready for future expansions. Opened in 2009, the new SOME KSW plant complements the manufacturing structures of Automotive SOME with progressive stamping presses and machines for automated welding processes, assemblies and complements.
Based on Lean Manufacturing, Quick Response Manufacturing and Kaizen tools, the production layout evolves in order to optimize the productivity and response time.
